Quimby, Iowa—Ione Elizabeth Price, 71, of Quimby, died Thursday Feb. 29, 1996 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton with Pastor Karen Handke officiating. Burial will be in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery at Smithland. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Price was born December 10, 1924 in Mapleton, the daughter of Harry and Hattie Jane (Ward) Newman. She married Earl Price Dec, 14, 1942, in Elizabeth City, NC. The couple lived in Oregon for a few years and returned to the Smithland-Mapleton area. She worked at Zenith Corp in Sioux City until its closing. Mr. Price died Dec. 12, 1892 and she moved to Quimby five years ago.

Mrs. Price was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Ed and Betty Price of Quimby; a daughter and her husband, Patricia and Allen Eskildsen of Cherokee; a brother and his wife, Dick and Wilma Newman of Oklahoma City, Okla; a sister, Anna Belle Weifenbach of Little Sioux; four grandchildren, Prudence and Bill Eskildsen and Jessica and Houston Price and one-great-grandson.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Terry.
