Grace A. Heimbecker

Grace A. Heimbecker, 83, Sunrise Retirement Home, died Wednesday, May 29, 1991, at the care center after a brief illness.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Heimbecker, the former Grace A. Goreham, was born October 19, 1907, in Salix, Iowa. She married Clarence Jones. She married Art Heimbecker in July 1956 in Sioux City. He died in October 1972 in Sioux City. She worked for many years at Swift & Co. and Sioux Bee Honey. An avid bowler, she bowled in several Sioux City women’s bowling leagues.

Survivors include a son, Edward Jones: a daughter-in-law, Darlene Jones of Sioux City; three brothers, William Goreham of Eugene, Ore., Pete Goreham of Cook, Neb. and Frank Goreham of Nebraska; four sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Ann) Clark of Moorhead, Iowa, Nellie Taylor of Gillette, Wyo., Della Tietz of Eugene, Ore., and Dorothy Bolhall of Sioux City; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Raymond and a daughter, Mildred.
