Gapp, Dorothy Ann 1936 - 1990

Dorothy Ann Gapp, 53, Elk Point, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 1990 in a Sioux City hospital of a long illness.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Elk Point United Parish with Rev. Donald Greenough officiating. Burial was in the Elk Point Cemetery under direction of the Anderson funeral home in Elk Point.

Mrs. Gapp, the former Dorothy A. Kyle, was born April 11, 1936, in Sioux City. She graduated from Elk Point High School. She married Leonard D. Gapp in Elk Point, Nov. 13, 1954 in Elk Point. She had been employed the last 20 years at Prairie Estates Care Center as a nurses aide, med-aide and cook. Mrs. Gapp was a member of Elk Point United Parish and the ladies auxiliary of the church. She was also a member of Bert L. Smith American Legion auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dale of Elk Point and Craig of Lincoln, Neb.; three daughters, Adelle and Lois of Elk Point and Mrs. Jerry (Lorraine) Calhoun of Sioux City; three brothers, Earl and Carl, both of Sioux City and Leonard of Bronson, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Vince (Ceola) Rolfes of Sioux City; and one grandson, Bradley Calhoun of Sioux City.
