Emil N. Greuniesen, 83, 1121 W. Fifth St., Sioux city, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. Rev. Donald Ries officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Meyer Brothers ''Colonial Chapel, Sioux City.

Mr. Greuniesen was born Feb. 3, 1909 in Sioux City, and lived here all his life. He married Joyce M. Beckman June 25, 1940, in Sioux City. He worked for Tolerton & Warfield for 29 years and for National Teas for nine years, retiring in 1966. He was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Catholic church and a retired member of the Teamsters Local 383.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Nicholas and Adeline of Sioux City and Paul and Linda of Round Rock, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Chuck (Susan) Greenawalt of Pay son, Ariz., Grace Lamkin of Vancouver, Wash., Patricia Greuniesen, Sioux City, Mrs. Gordon (Lucille) Kleihauer of Akron, and Mrs.'Doug (Teresa) Huitink of Sioux City; three nephews, Lawrence, Harold and Emil Obermeyer; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in his name with the Special Troopers Adaptive Riding School (for the handicapped), P.O. box 2094, Sioux City, 51104.
