Evelyn S. Jolin, 82, Sioux City, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness.

Services were Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic church. Rev. Jerome P. Cosgrove officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Larkin Northside funeral home in Sioux City.

Mrs. Jolin the-former. Evelyn, Abraham, was born Aug. 31, 1910, on a farm north of Spink, S.D., daughter of Andrew and Lizzie (Satter) Abraham. She was baptized and confirmed at the Brule Creek Lutheran church. She graduated from Elk Point high school in 1929 and worked for the Michael King family in Sioux City. She married Henry J. Jolin June 27, 1936, at St. Jean Baptist Catholic church. He died Sept. 26, 1962, at Newcastle, Wyo. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic church, the Plazettes Bowling League and a former longtime member of the
Eagles.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Jolin of Sioux City and Mrs. William (Joan) Hotovec of Des Moines; a son, Terry of Lee's Summit, Mo.; five grandchildren; a brother, Edwin of Alcester, SD.; two sisters, Eleanor Clausen of Sioux City and Florence Petersen of Scottdale, Ariz., several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters, Gust, Albert, Alfred, Obert, George and Richard, Anna and Laura Ronning and Gladys Abraham.
