Miss Sophie Sparr, 59, Moville,
died Nov. 2 when she suffered a
heart attack en route to a Sioux
City hospital. Rites were Friday,
with burial at Trinity Lutheran
cemetery near Hinton. She had
lived in Kingsley until 22 years
ago when she moved to Moville
to care for two nephews whose
parents had died . Surviving are
two brothers and two sisters , in-
cluding Mrs. J . A. Held of Hinton

Sophie Sparr Dies
En Route to Hospital;
Buried Near Hinton
Funeral services for Miss Sophie
Sparr, 59, of Moville, who died
Tuesday evening, Nov. 2, on the
way to a Sioux City hospital
were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday
at Trinity Lutheran church
at Moville.
Rev. R. W. Schilling officiated.
Burial was in the cemetery at
Trinity Lutheran church near
Hinton , under the direction of the
McCulloch funeral home.
Miss Sparr had been ill a short
time and suffered a heart attack
while on the way to the hospital.
She was born May 19, 1895, northwest
of Kingsley . She resided in
that community until 22 years
ago when she went to Moville
to reside with her brother , William,
and to care for two small
nephews , whose father and mother
died. The two children are
Donald and Walter Jahn.
Survivors in addition to her
brother are another brother , Julius
of Lawton , and two sisters,
Mrs. Lester Sager of Sioux City,
and Mrs. J . A. Held of Hinton.
