Mrs. Oliver Conley 1888-1969
Mrs. Oliver Conley, 80, Sioux City, died
Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in the Federated church at
Washta.
Burial will be in Sunset View cemetery,
under the direction of Anderson funeral
home, Sioux City.
She was born July 12, 1888, near
Kingsley. She moved to Washta at the age
of 6 months. After graduating from high
school there, she taught term school near
Wagner. S.D.
The former Elsie Kirkpatrick, she
married Mr. Conley Feb. 17, 1906, at
Battle Creek. They farmed near Washta
until 1944 when they moved to Sioux
City. Mr. Conley died in January, 1947, in
Sioux City.
Mrs. Conley was a member of First
United Methodist church.
Survivors are one son. Beryl, Sioux
City; one daughter, Mrs. Rachel C.
Stralton. Sioux Falls; one sister, Mrs. Cora
Bailey, Wagner; and two grandchildren.
