Keith L. Seaton, 69, of Sioux City, formerly of Whiting, Iowa, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at his residence following a brief illness.

Services will be 7:15 p.m. today at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Seaton was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Danbury, Iowa, the son of Wilburn Herbert Seaton and Ruth Ann Litster. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 through 1959. While serving in the Korean War, he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and several other medals during his tour of duty.

He married Maryetta Trobaugh on Feb. 22, 1961, in South Sioux City. They had recently celebrated 40 years of marriage together.

He was employed for several years at American Cleaners, Downtown Cleaners, and retired from Dubois Sanitation Company at IBP in 1995.

His hobbies included fishing, listening to country music and taking care of his dog, Shadow.

Survivors include his wife, Maryetta Seaton; his mother, Ruth Ann Seaton; two daughters and their husbands, Tracy and Tony Seubert of Sergeant Bluff, and Susie and Richard Plendl of Sioux City; two sons, Dennis Seaton and his wife, Angela of Sioux City, and Joey Seaton of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Cody, Zach, Trista, Tori, Adam, Jozey and Jessica; three brothers, Conrad, Curtis and Dwayne; and two sisters, Beverly and Sharon.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dannette Seaton; his father, Wilburn Seaton; and two sisters, Darlene and Donna Seaton.
