Patricia (Brennan) Price, 74, of Newport Beach, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, surrounded by her loving family at her residence.

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Newport Beach. Followed by a celebration of her life at the Herman Library and Gardens in Corona Del Mar, Calif.

Pat was born Patricia Winifred Brennan on March 7, 1928, to John P. Brennan and Agnes Barnable Brennan in Sioux City. She received her bachelor of science degree from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. Shortly afterwards, she boldly moved to Hollywood, Calif., with her dear friend, Dottie MacIntosh Allen.

While working as a lab technician at Good Samaritan Hospital, she met George T. Price III, whom she married in 1952. She devoted the next several years to caring for her family and raising her three daughters in Monterey Park, San Marino and Pasadena, Calif. She moved to Newport Beach in the late 1970s.

She will be remembered for her zest for living, her Irish feistiness, her charity work and involvement with her children's schools, her love of parties, entertaining, tennis, bridge, gin rummy, warm weather, travel, crossword puzzles, reading, the swap meet, "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune." Most of all, she was devoted to her daughters and grandson and her wide circle of dear friends, and they were devoted to her. She left us too soon and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Price and her husband, Norman Krause, of St. Helena, Calif., Jayne Price of Newport Beach and Carol Price Dansby and her husband, David Dansby, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; her grandson, Benjamin Price Dansby; and a sister, Margaret "Peg" Brennan Fitzgerald of Mesa, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Brennan.
