SERGEANT BLUFF -- Wilma G. Dantzler, 78, of Fox Lake, Ill., formerly of Sergeant Bluff, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at her residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Presbyterian Church in McHenry, Ill. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville, Ill. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home in McHenry.

Mrs. Dantzler was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Sergeant Bluff, to James and Edith R. (Christensen) Godfredson. On March 23, 1946, she married John M. Dantzler at First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Ala.

She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in McHenry.

Survivors include her children, Robert T. (Judith) Dantzler of New Castle, Del., and Jennifer (Harold) Gabel of Fox Lake, Ill.; her grandchildren, Harold William III, John M. and Suraya F. Gabel of Fox Lake; two sisters, Lorraine F. Godsey of Sloan, Iowa, and Phyllis (Gene) Cook of Sergeant Bluff; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Godfredson of Salix.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Dantzler on June 27, 2000; her parents; and a brother, Chester Godfredson.
