JOSEPH P. SCHMITZ

Funeral services for Joseph P. Schmitz, 56, rural Elk Point, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Elk Point. The Rev. John Rueland will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery at Jefferson, under the direction of Larkin Funeral Home of Sioux City.

Pallbearers will be Arnold Steckelberg, Bernard Quinn, Ivan Mollet, Donald Brusseau, Andrew Lambert and John Curry.

Mr. Schmitz died Thursday at his home after an illness of several months.
