Paul W. Sires, 79, of Loveland, Colorado, died April 6, 1987, in a local nursing home.
He was born June 19, 1907, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to William and Lulu (Thill) Sires. He graduated from high school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was a major in the U.S. Army during World War II in Intelligence. He married Delphina E. DeLaurier November 20, 1972, in Carroll, Nebraska.
He was a retired radio announcer for radio station KSCJ in Sioux City, Iowa, for 30 years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus. He came to Loveland in 1972 from Sioux City.
He is survived by his wife, Delphina; a niece, Karol Cooper and husband, Tom, of Loveland; sisters-in-law, Amelia Connors and husband, Hubert of Sioux Falls; and Agnes Chicoine of Wakefield, Nebraska.
Recitation of the Rosary will be a 7:00 p.m. tonight at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel.
Celebration of the Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, with Father Regis McGuire, celebrant.
Graveside services and burial will be held Friday in Sioux Falls, with the Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home in charge.
