Frank Arthur and Arvilla (Miller) Timmerman
By Muriel C Winterringer MeyerFrank Arthur Timmerman was born in McGregor, Clayton County, Iowa, on June 9, 1881. He was the third child and the third son born to Amelia Krueger and Frederick Timmerman.
At some time during his lifetime, he traveled with the circus.
He was living with the Frank Krueger family, his uncle, at the time of the 1910 census. He was a clerk in the store, working for his uncle, in the town of Oto.
He spent many of his years around Oto. He was a painter and paperhanger, and he always had a waiting list of customers.
He was married at Smithland on December 23, 1929, to Arvilla Miller, the daughter of Marion Miller and Hattie Sweet. Arvilla was born January 16, 1908, at Rodney, Iowa.
They adopted a son, Leo Arnold Timmerman, born November 30, 1938. He attended school in Oto. Leo married Judith Ann Noble of Harlan, Iowa, on June 10, 1961. They make their home in a Minneapolis suburb.
Frank died 12 December 1966; burial was in the Smithland cemetery.
Arvilla is in the Correctionville, Iowa, care center.
