Beverly was born March 14, 1927, in San Diego, California. She is the daughter of Maynard J Smith of Sioux City, and the late Edna Erskine Smith.

Beverly’s folks returned to Sioux City in 1930 and Beverly started to Washington School in 1932. She completed Washington School and graduated form Central High in 1945. She began working at Walgreen Drug Store and from there to J C Penney’s store. Beginning in 1948, she worked for Toller Drug Store, working for them twenty-one years. Beverly now works at Marion Health Center, completing thirteen years. Update, she retired from Marion Health Center.

Bev was very good in Mathematics. This was to help her all her life.

Bev was very proud of her Smith and Erskine roots in Monona County.

She is a member of Martha Washington Chapter DAR, joining on both the Smith and Erskine Revolutionary ancestors. She is a member of the Ladies division of the Izaak Walton League of America, she is also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City.

Beverly has spent most of her adult life caring for others.
Update: Beverly now resides at Sunrise Manor.
