Kenneth Ray Shever, the son of Earl Thomas and Myrtle E Worthan Shever, was born January 7, 1911, in Rock Township, rural Correctionville. He attended Rock Township Country School for his education. Kenneth worked as a farm laborer in Clay county at Spencer and O’Brien County at Harley in the mid 1930s.

Kenneth married Alice Mae Ginger, daughter of David L and Kate M Ginger of Everly, Iowa, on July 26, 1938, at Jackson, Minnesota. Alice was born April 28, 1919, at Sutherland, Iowa. She received her education in O’Brien County. They are the parents of four children.

Raymond Earl was born March 8, 1939, at Hartley, Iowa, and married Arlene Kay Rohrbaugh, June 20, 1962, at Windom, Minnesota. Arlene is the daughter of Floyd and Marjorie Rohrbaugh of Peterson, Iowa. Raymond and Arlene are the parents of four sons and lives in Des Moines, Iowa, where Raymond is employed as a Electronic Technician. Raymond served twenty years in the US Army.

Karen Kay was born June 21, 1940, at Everly, Iowa, and married Harold Arthur Duncan, December 19, 1959, at Jackson, Minnesota. Harold is the son of Harvey and Mildred Duncan of Royal, Iowa. Harold and Karen are the parents of three daughters. Harold works in the ore mines.

Kathryn Myrtle was born September 2, 1942, at Hartley, Iowa, and married Chris Henry Sands, June 24, 1961, at Anthon. Chris is the son of Fred and Catherine Sands of Moville. Chris and Kathryn are the parents of four children and live in Schleswig. Chris is employed by Iowa Beef Processors and Kathryn is employed at Dubuque Packing Company, both in Denison, Iowa.

Lois Irene was born November 8, 1947, in Morgan Township, rural Correctionville, and married Charles A Farber on May 15, 1965, at Anthon. Charles is the son of Clarence and Thelma Farber of Anthon. Charles and Lois are the parents of two daughters. Charles is employed at Iowa Beef Processors in Denison, and Lois is employed at Rose Vista Care Center in Woodbine as an LPN.

Kenneth and Alice moved to the Paulson Farm in Morgan Township in the fall of 1942 and started farming. They purchased the farm in 1949 and still own it. They moved to Anthon in November of 1983. All of their children received their education in the Pat King Independent School, the Anthon Public School and The Anthon-Oto Community School. They were also members of the Morgan Hustlers and Morganettes 4H Clubs.
