Henry Saxen, Sr

Anna Friedericka Gehrke, was born November 22, 1902; and Henry Saxen, Sr, was born August 20, 1898. Both lived in the rural Battle Creek, Iowa, area during their youth. After they married they lived in Mapleton, Danbury, Holstein, Washta and Correctionville before moving to and buying a home in Pierson in 1963.

To this union they had ten children:

1( Edmund, married Blanche Zupp. She died of cancer in 1960, he later married Dorothy Bair who had two children, Cindy and Gigi;

2( Robert married Leona Zupp. They have two adopted sons, Mark and Scott;

3( Henry, Jr married Sally Schulz and have four children, Thomas, Richard, Harry and Mary;

4( Lawrence married Buelah Zupp Gehrke and had two children, Larry and Linda;

5( Raymond married Joyce Jenness and they had three children, Jennice, Jean and Gary;

6( Franklin Delano had one son, Biffven, after his marriage to Betty Sipes Spotten;

7( Harold Landon was married to Donna Speelman;
8( Lillian Ann married Ronald Nairn and they had three children, Gregory, Jeffery and Julie;

9( Wendell married Linda Irwin and had three children, Blake, Lance and Marie;

10( Danny Roger married Bonnie Beers and had one son, Barry, and adopted twins, Gregory and Keith.

Henry, Sr died in 1965, and Anna died in 1975. They are buried at Sunset View Cemetery near Washta.
