Lloyd Allen Rasmussen, son of Carl N and Florence Rachel Rasmussen, was born January 1, 1920, at Bronson, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Bronson School. He move with his parents in 1939 to Lawton Community, where he farmed with his father until 1950. In 1941, Lloyd married Velma Ping, daughter of Ora and Pearl Ping, also Bronson area residents.

A son, Dean Laverne, was born at Lawton, June 13, 1942. He attended Lawton school until his parents moved to Bronson in March 1960. He graduated in 1960. Dean married Linda Devine, daughter of Robert and Betty Devine. They have two children, Steven C, born August 27, 1963 and Nanette, born July 29, 1966. Steven graduated from Lawton-Bronson school in 1982 and is now attending WIT. Nanette will be a 1984 Lawton-Bronson graduated.

A daughter, Vina Marie, was born to Lloyd and Velma at Lawton, August 31, 1948. She moved with her parents to Bronson in 1950. She attended Bronson school until 1962 when Bronson closed its high school program. She attended Sergeant Bluff one year and graduated from Lawton-Bronson after three years there. She attended Wayne, Nebraska, College to become a teacher. In 1968 she married Robert Allen Rodecker and they have made their home in Sioux City, Iowa. They have three children: Troy Allan, June 28, 1972; Travis Dean, May 14, 1976; and Tanya Marie, June 10, 1980.

Lloyd has been a life-long farmer and in now retired.
