Patricia Marian Ann Heacock was born in Pierson, Iowa, on February 6, 1933, the daughter of E V and Edna (Woods) Heacock.

She attended school in Pierson until her junior year, when the family moved to Holly Springs in 1948. She graduated from Holly Springs High School in June, 1950. She went to Morningside College night school for two years, then continued her college work at California State College in San Diego, California.

Patricia Heacock married Mervin L Hobbs, son of Jean and Wylma Hobbs, on September 10, 1950. Mervin James ‘Mick’ Hobbs was born August 2, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa. Monte Verjean Hobbs was born June 10, 1954, in Sioux City. Mark Edwyl Hobbs was born August 11, 1958, in San Diego, California. Lisa Jan Hobbs was born June 5, 1961, in Boulder, Colorado.

Mervin J ‘Mick’ graduated from East High School in Sioux City and had one year in Morningside College with a B A degree in 1975.

Monte Verjean graduated from East High School in Sioux City and had one year in Morningside College. He continued his advance education at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He received the Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University in 1981.

Mary Edwyl graduated from West High School in Iowa City, Iowa, and then attended Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa.

Lisa Jan attended Westwood High School at Sloan, Iowa. She later attended classes to nursing at Onawa. Lisa was married to Jeffrey Morehouse, November 25, 1978. Their daughter, Jessica Lynn, was born August 30, 1980. They were divorced in 1980. Lisa was married to Jerry Anderson in 1982. Their son, Jerry James, was born June 14, 1983.

Patricia and Mervin Hobbs were divorced in 1965. She married John O’Leary of Iowa City on August 2, 1972 and divorced in 1975. She married Al Laleta, of Pennsylvania, in Sioux City, on June 25, 1982. They make their home in Sioux City.
