Paul Hubert, son of Mr and Mrs Napoleon F Hubert, was born at Salix, Iowa, May 25, 1916. HE completed high school at St Joseph School in 1934, at Salix. He stayed with his parents and helped with the farming until 1939, at which time, he was employed at the Juneman Hardware Store for two years, and then two years in the electric shop at Cudahy’s.

He married Miss Maxine Pratt, daughter of Harvey Pratt and Ora Page Pratt, on June 2, 1940. They lived in Salix until 1962. He started to farm on a rented farm east of Salix in 1951. While living in Salix, he held the job of Town Clerk from 1953 to 1961.

In 1962, they moved from Salix to the family farm east of Salix. This farm had been owned by Paul’s grandfather, Leon Robin, until he passed away in 1934. Part of the farm was purchased in 1891. This is a three-generation farm, and the family hopes it will be a century farm.

Mr and Mrs Paul Hubert are the parents of one son, Gary, born February 15, 1942. He married Miss Renee Gireau, June 15, 1968, of Salix. Gary and Renee are paints of two children: Marc, born July 17, 1971, and Michelle, born July 8, 1975.
