Four children were born to this union. Kenneth Edwin, March 31, 1951, married Barbara Palmquist and they have two children, Stephanie Ann and Jared Kenneth. They live and farm southeast of Salix. Jean Ann, April 21, 1952, of Holstein, Iowa, has one son, Brian Lohse. Steven Marvin, April 3, 1954, died at birth. Sharon Loretta, August 27, 1956, Sioux City, Iowa. Loretta died November 27, 1967, and was buried at Sloan Cemetery.

Edwin married Ruth Htfield Palmquist of Sioux City, Iowa, December 18, 1971. Ruthy brought to the marriage three children: Steven, born August 14, 1950, married to Mary Hurst; Barbara, born April 16, 1954, married to Edwin’s son Kenneth; and David, born March 20, 1964, married to Connie Nielsen. David has taken the Eveleth name.

Edwin and Ruth have been restoring his great grandfather’s farm home, south of Salix. This house was built in 1873 by George Mirick Eveleth and has been in the family for many years.
