Carl Wesley Harrison was born 30 April 1936 on the Harry Richardson farm in Section ten, Banner Township, Woodbury County, the son of William and Emma (Wulf) Harrison. He attended the rural schools, Banner Township No. 1 and 2, and graduated form Lawton High School in 1955. In 1955, he worked on construction for Oscar Klein of Lawton. In 1957, he worked for International Harvester of Sioux City as a bookkeeper, remaining with them until they closed in March 1958. He then was employed by the accounting firm of T J Murray, later becoming a partner in the firm. After Mr Murray retired, the firm became known as Harrison and Streck. In 1968, Carl sol his partnership to Mr Streck and went to work for Putnam Chinchilla Farms as accountant. From 1971 until 1974, he operated a construction business. From 1974 until 1979, he was an Office Manager for Salsness Buick of Sioux City. In 1979, he became Office Manager for Missouri Valley Steel of Sioux City, and was transferred to Omaha. He and his family moved there in June 1982.

Carl graduated in June 1961 form Morningside College, cum laude, with a degree in business administration. He was married 7 June 1957 to Nancy Theresa Vondrak, at Elk Point, South Dakota. They resided n Sioux City until June 1982.

Nancy was born 14 February 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Theresa (Choquette) Vondrak. She was raised on a farm north of Sioux City in Plymouth County. She has worked for many years for the Bell Telephone Company in Sioux City, and transferred to their office in Omaha when the family moved there. Nancy was a graduate of Central High School in Sioux City, with honors, in June 1956. The family is members of the Lutheran Church.

Carl and Nnacy are parents of three children. Daniel Michael ‘Dan’ was born 26 June 1958 in Sioux City. He was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from East High School, with honors in 1976. He went on to earn a degree at Iowa State at Ames. He is employed by the General Electric Telephone Company at Grinnell, Iowa. He was married 24 April 1982 at Dubuque, Iowa to Dena Elaine Moore, dughter of Mr and Mrs Donald Moore. Dan and Dena live at Grinnell, Iowa. Dena has a degree in Botany.

Matthew Carl Harrison was born 14 March 1962 at Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated form East High School in May 1980, and earned a football scholarship to Morningside College. Due to an injury he is no longer playing football, but is in his fourth year at Morningside, with plans to enter a Lutheran Seminary in 1984 in preparation for the ministry. Matt was married 18 July 1981 in Sioux City to Kathleen Renee Schimm, daughter of Mr and Mrs William Schimm of Sioux City. Kathy will earn a degree of Morningside at the end of the fall semester, 1983.

Catherine Theresa Harrison was born 14 September 1965 at Sioux City, Iowa. She attended schools in Morningside, and completed up to her junior year at East High before the family moved to Omaha. She graduated from the Millard High School there in 1983, and started classes at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the fall of 1983, where she is a member of the band.
