Bob was born January 21, 1947, in Kennett, Missouri, and is a graduated of East High School in Sioux City, Iowa. He is the son of Robert Valentine Dinkel and Betty Elliot Dinkel. Bob married Jenifer Lynn Boyd on April 3, 1971, in Sioux City at the First Methodist Church. Jenifer was born November 22, 1948, in Sioux City, Iowa. She is the daughter of Art and Helen (Dreas) Boyd. Jen is a 1967 graduated of South Sioux City High School. Jen attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.

Shortly after their marriage, Jen and Bob moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, where Bob moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, where Bob worked as a motorcycle mechanic at Peterson Motors. It was in Storm Lake their first son was born. Timothy Boyd Dinkel arrived on January 17, 1974.

Bob was offered a job at a brand new cycle shop in Mapleton, Iowa; Al Tobin Cycle. Bob took the job and moved his family to Mapleton, Iowa, in Monona County. Shortly after moving to Mapleton the couple had their second son, Robert Lynn, Jr (Robbie). Robbie was born in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa, on June 5, 1976. Almost 25 months later, Cortney Anne ‘Buffy’ was born (also in Sioux City) on June 28, 1978. Jen and Bob sold their trailer home in Mapleton and bought a house in nearby Danbury because of their growing family.

Jenifer worked at Joe Morten and Son Insurance Company before moving to Storm Lake. She recently started working at Benefit Administrators in Sioux City Yamaha. Jen and Bob moved their family to South Sioux City, Nebraska about two years ago.

Timmy attended Kindergarten in Danbury. He attended first through the third grade at E N Swett Elementary School in South Sioux City. He is currently in the fourth grade at the middle school in South Sioux City. Timmy likes to play pinball and video games. He is fascinated by science and loves his chemistry set.

Robbie is currently in the second grade at E N Swett and has attended E N Swett School since he started school.

Cortney has just started kindergarten at the E N Swett Duplex and is doing very well.
