Mr Currier was born in Bradford, Vermont, in 1857. He and his parents moved to Salix, in 1878 and sttled on a farm in Lakeport Township. In 1886, Mr Currier and his father, J C Currier, moved to Salix and established The Bank of J C Currier and Sons, which was in operation until 1933. The Curriers were heavy losers in the big Salix fire of October, 1892.

Mrs Currier married Annie Edgecumbe of Liberty Township in 1888. Mrs Currier was born in Cornwall, England,m in 1869, and died in 1922. The Curriers had once daughter, Dora, who married Clarence Holman of Sergeant Bluff. Mr Currier died in 1944

In the summer of 1931 the beautiful Currier residence on the farm south of Salix was destroyed by fire, although the iron fence surrounding the house yard still stands.
