Terrance ‘Terry’ Lee and Eva Christine (Domagala) Cain
By Virginia CainTerrance Lee Cain, nicknamed Terry, was born May 30, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Methodist Hospital. He weighed nine pounds, seven ounces. He was born on the real Memorial Day. He has brown hair and blue eyes. As he got older his eyes turned to a hazel color.
Terry’s parents are: Milton John Cain, nicknamed Don, born March 11, 1932; and Virginia Ann (Kucera) Cain born March 31, 1938. Both were born in Sioux City, Iowa
He has an older brother named Milton William, nicknamed Don and a younger sister named Lucretia Ann (Cain) Baumgardner.
Terry was baptized on Mother’s Day on May 12, 1963, at the Trimble Methodist Church in Sioux City. He also attended Sunday School and Church there. Terry and Don lit candles for the Church Service for quite awhile.
Terry attended Lowell Grade School. His belonged to the Cub Scouts of the School Pack.
He won a trophy for being a Tether Ball Champion for the year of 1971.
He went to Woodrow Wilson Junior High School. He was in football, basketball and track. He won several ribbons in Track and Field. He also was on the 8th Grade Intermurals team and they won. They were Champions of 1973. Terry played center for them. Everybody on the team received a trophy.
He was in the Music Makers Band with Mr Caris as his teacher. He played with tubs, trumpet, slide trombone and drums. They did special performances.
He earned several Perfect Attendance Certificates for several semesters. Terry went to North Senior High School. He started football in the 10th grade but quit football to go to work at McDonalds at the Plaza. He graduated in May of 1977.
He met Eva Christine (Domagala) while he was working at McDonalds. She also worked there.
Eva was born June 5, 1959, in Sioux City. She weighed six pounds, eleven ounces. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Her parents are: Lisa (Zeitler) born in West Germany, and Felix Domagala born in Poland. She has a sister named Inge (Domagala) Clancy. Her step brother is Wilford Heisel. She was baptized a Catholic at the St Casimir Church in Sioux City. She attended Catechism there too.
She attended Cooper Grade School from kindergarten-1st grade. Second grade through sixth grade, she went to Hunt Grade School. She attended North Junior High School and then went to West Senior High School. She graduated in May 1978.
Eva detassled corn, worked at McDonalds at the Plaza, at Kahn’s Fashion Corner, and then went to Davenport Cleaners as a Presser.
Terry got a job at Anderson Equipment in about 1978.
Terry and Eva got married August 25, 1978, at the Trimble Methodist Church.
They had a daughter, March 19, 1982, at St Lukes Hospital in Sioux City. She weighed nine pounds, six ounces. She has dishwater blong hair and blue eyes. They named her Mindy Kay.
Terry got layed off at Anderson Equipment in 1981 due to lack of jobs. Terry and Eva decided to move to Storm Lake, Iowa, in the Fall of 1982 so Terry could get work. Eva left Davenport Cleaners after four and one-half years to be with Terry. He worked for Consumers in Storm Lake, driving a 4300 International conventional semi truck.
In June 1983, Terry, Eva and Mindy moved back to Sioux City, to be closer to the family and to get a better paying job. He started working for Midwestern Paper Company driving truck.
Before going to Storm Lake, Terry was bowling on a league with his dad and brother. He received a key ring for Most Improved Bowler, his first year bowling. He also earned a Triplicate Patch. He was also on a summer mixed league with Eva and his brother and wife, Nan. He received a trophy for highest series 676 and for high game 243.
When he still was working for Anderson Equipment he won the Horseshoe Pitiching Trophy in 1979 and 1980.
Terry likes to go bowling and fishing, play backyard football, hunt, target practice, shoot bow and arrows, and play with his N scale trains. He also likes to tinker with cars and likes to drive truck.
Eva likes to horseback ride, crochet and to go bowling sometimes.
She’s working for Randalls as a Presser.
