It is my understanding that Agnes Meyer did marry into the Kout family. The Meyers were located in Winnishiek county. An obituary of Regina Bechel Meyer, the mother of Agnes Meyer, published in 1915 in the Ossian Bee listed Agnes Kout as living in St. Paul. There were 13 children in the Meyer family. My great grandmother was one of them. She was Katerina Meyer Wagner. She married Nicolaus Wagner and settled in the Festina area.

The Meyers came to Iowa from Indiana in 1849. Andrus (Andrew) Meyer and Regina Bechel Meyer were both from Alsace region of France. Their other children were Mary Meyer Creme, George A. Meyer, Frances Meyer Huber, Philip J. Meyer, Caroline Meyer Dessel, Peter F. Meyer, Elizabeth Meyer Fleischer, and Julie Meyer.

I would be interested in learning about the Kout family connection.
