I'm looking for information on Hoymes from Decorah, too. My GGGGrandfather was Thrond Hoyme, b 1804 Vestre Slidre, Valdres, NOR. He died in 1887 in Decorah Township. He had a daughter Berit (my GGGrandmother), a son Christoper J. and a son Thrond. I have also run across a Formand G. b. 1806, Germund, b. 1822, Ole, b. 1810, and Sjermund, b. 1805 that I can't link to the family without more information. I wonder how this all fits together.
