I have had an inquiry from the Parakeet's Pilot Club in Blakesburg, Iowa, about any living relatives of Billy Fischer who was a Stunt Pilot and was killed in 1949 while performing a stunt in Jackson, Mississippi. He was 23 years old at the time of his death. He was a resident of Decorah, Iowa, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Fischer. Sisters surviving at the time of his death were Nadine(Fischer)Knowlton, Sylvia (Fischer) Smith and Ramona Fischer (who was at the time a student at the University of Iowa.

W. P. Fischer had a hardware store in Decorah, Iowa.

Billy's funeral services were held at the Decorah Congregational Church and his burial was at the Decorah? Cemetery. I don't know which cemetery was considered the Decorah Cemetery at that time.
