Is Decorah Genie Assoc. Defunct??

Last July I submitted a research request and check to the Decorah Genealogy Association. Thinking they must be quite busy, I waited until October to follow-up with them. I received an apology and now it is February of a new year, and no word from them. I can only assume that this group has disbanded and is no longer in existence. Does anyone have any info on this?
