Census - Mary Quinn

My great grandmother's name was Mary Johanna QUINN. She was born April 3, 1856 in Chicago, Ill. She came to Winneshiek Co. IA at an early age to live with "A FAMILY". She married Joel Hudson SMITH May 4, 1876 in Burr Oak.
"She climbed a tree to get more fruit, slipped and fell, and caught
her foot in a crotch in a tree. She was hanging upside down with her dress around her head yelling for help. One Joel Hudson Smith,
fishing in a nearby lake, rowed ashore and rescued her (and dis' dress). They were married and had two children."
I would like to find 1870 or off-year Census in the hopes of finding out who "THAT FAMILY" is.
