I am still searching for more in on the surnames above. I would love to hear from anybody that knows anything.

I had put a query in the Winneshiek Co. site maybe 10 years ago and I wanted to update my email address.

It is no longer Conpoint.com. So it was a query about Mary Beleshank and Charles Louis morissette and what happened to the 2 girls or Mary. Where are they buried ?

I would love any info about them,. They were catholic and lived in Fort Atkinson on July 13 1860 cenus. Washington Township, Winnesheck County, Town was fort Atkinson and the cenus report is below.

#883 Agustus Morisette age 26 born Canada East

wife Florance age 26

Joseph age 5

Melina age 3

James age 2

Florance age 3/12

#884 was Lewis Morissette age 25

Wife Mary age 29

julia Ann age 1

Amanda age 3/12

Julian Matilda was born maybe in 1859

Amanda Mary was born maybe in 1860

These two Morissette men were brothers and Agustus went to Minn with his family later.

Lewis or Louis moved to Nebraska

Do not know what happened to the 2 girls born to first marriage.

Mary died and where buried??

Charles Louis or Lewis married Philomene (Bonneau) Goodwater on 10-5-1863 My grandmother.

Lewis had married Mary (Marquerite Belecank(Baleshank) on May 3 1857 in Winnesheck co., IA

Mary died?? Where buried?

Lewis or Louis married my grand mother on 10 3 1863 In Winnesheck Co., IA

They came to NEbraska in 1879

In 1880 they homesteaded in Nebraska

I sure would love to get more info on my Grandfathers first marriage and family.
