Hardens in Iowa

HARDEN, BECKER, WILLSIE WILTSE

My HARDENs were found in Clinton Cty, NY on the 1850 Census. John & Sophia HARDEN are there with their son, Halstead b NY (and his wife, Ellen WILLSIE/WILTSE, and their son, Edgar, 10 months), 1 other son & 1 daughter, all in the same household. On the 1870 census, Sophia is found in Burr Oak, Winnishiek, Iowa living with Halstead & Ellen, and their children Myron, 19, b NY; Lois, 17, b NY; Henry W. B., 15, b. NY; Chloe, 9, b. Iowa. 1880 Iowa census, same township, lists Halstead as living with his 2nd wife Elvira, and daughter Lois, 26 (1st wife Ellen having died in I believe 1871). On the same page is Henry W. B. and his wife, Ida BECKER. No children listed for them at that time. Henry & Ida moved to South Dakota prior to 1881, where their eldest daughter Ellen Lois (m. Basford)was born (1881). Their other children were Halstead John, b 1891, Redfield, Great Bend Twp, Spink Co, SD; Joanna (m. Rouse) b 1885, same location; Trean, b ?; May, b 1884, same location; Myra (m. Carlisle), b ?; Clifford Edgar, b 1892, same location. Clifford was the youngest, and sometime after his birth and before 1900, I believe their mother, Ida BECKER passed away, as the next sign of any of the family has Ellen and May, each living in a different location, each listed as "niece" in the household. This is in 1900. There is no sign of ANY OTHER family members in later census records, but was told by my grandfather that Henry W. B. and Halstead (the younger) moved to Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada, about 1905. (Myra is also known to have lived in Weyburn.) This is where my grandfather was born, and the family later moved to Glenmore, BC where 3 days after arriving Henry died. My grandfather, John Douglas Halstead HARDEN, lived in Kelowna/Winfield, BC until his death in 2001. I have been searching for any further information on the family, ie cousins, siblings, ANYTHING, but have been unable to locate. Can anyone out there help me??
