Searching for John May family

Searching for any information on John MAY, his son George or daughter Mary J. who married Peter PFIFFER. John MAY b. ca 1814 in England. I find him in Burr Oak in 1870 and 1880. In 1870 he lists himself as a retired architect. Before coming to Burr Oak, he was the superintendent of construction for the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, aka West Virginia Asylum for the Insane. I'm trying to find where he is buried or anything about his son George or daughter Mary May Pfiffer. Any help appreciated.
