Dave,
I am also a descendant of Jacob Stoskopf d. 1872. Is the Michael that you are looking for married to Catherine (Katherine) Lobstein (Lobenstein)? If so I have his death date as being 11 Dec 1899 and I do have a copy of his obituary. I have done extensive research on this family in Winneshiek Co and have information to share and trade.
