Norwegians from Winneshiek to SD

I am the descendant of a group of Norwegians who came from Norway during the period 1867-1869 and settled in Winneshiek county. They  moved on to South Dakota in 1873. There is a little book describing their trip to South Dakota on the web:

Can anyone provide information about their time in Iowa? Where  they lived, what church they might have attended? Or did any of them stay behind after the group went to South Dakota?
