1849 Oldenburg Trail from Indiana to Iowa

Scouts from Oldenburg, Indiana, traveled to northeastern Iowa and surveyed the land situation. They returned to Oldenburg, Indiana, and formed a wagon train from there to Winneshiek County, and other counties in northeastern Iowa. I am searching for any diaries/papers/records in regard to this wagon train.
