I'm researching my ggrandfather, Ole Johnson. This is the information that I have:

Born: Oct 28 1842,in Valries, Norway.
Unknown date of immigration:
Married: Bertha (unknown maiden name, it appears they were married in Norway.

Civil War:
NOTE Ole Johnson, 19 years old.
Residence: Decorah, Winneshiek County, Iowa.

Enlisted on 6/18/62 as a Private.
On 8/7/62 he mustered into "A" Company, 18th Regiment, Iowa Volunteer Infantry.
He was mustered out on 7/20/65 at Little Rock, AR.

I'm looking for any information or photographs of the farm they would have lived on or local info/photos of the regiment.

Both he and his wife died in Minnesota.
