Mrs. Neubaur of Pine City came last Thursday to be present at the funeral of her mother Mrs. John Hospodarsky.

Frank Korbel of Mahnomen, Minn. arrived here Friday night to be present at the funeral of his mother-in-law, Mrs. John Hospodarsky.- -
Mrs. John Hospodarsky passed away Tuesday evening Feb. 23rd, 1914,{sic} after a very short illness lasting about two days. The cause of death seemed to be heart failure. She was a kind and loving woman and mother and her death came as a great loss to her children. Her husband preceded her only seven weeks ago. The maiden name of the deceased was Miss Mary Sykora and she was born at Netolie, Bohemia, March 25, 1849. In 1866 she was united in marriage to John Hospodarsky in Winneshiek county where they settled first. To them were born the following children Mary, Mrs. Jos. Nevbaur of Pine City, Minn, Anna, Mrs. Frank Korbell of Mahnomen, Minn., Emma, Mrs. Lewis Kovarik of this vicinity, James J. of Big Sandy, Mont., P. H. Hospodarsky of Ventura, Iowa, Joseph who died many years ago and William, who lived with his mother at Spillville. The funeral occurred Friday, Feb. 26, at the National cemetery near Protivin. The pall bearers were John Polansky, John Swehla, John Macal, Jos. Mlady, Frank Hrdina and John Nemetz. The deceased also leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. Rose Neubaur who lives at St. Paul Minn.
