OBITUARY.
MRS. CHARLES KORNMEYER.
Death claimed Mrs. Charles Kornmeyer Monday morning about two o’clock, almost while she slept. For a couple of days she had not been feeling well and was urged by her husband to call a physician, but this she refused to do, saying that she would be all right soon. Sunday evening she and her husband went over to Mrs. B. Kornmeyer’s, remaining until about nine o’clock, when they returned home and retired. About midnight Mr. Kornmeyer arose and went to the brick yard to replenish the fires in one of the kilns. When he returned she was sleeping peacefully. At about 1:15 he was aroused by Mrs. Kornmeyer springing out of bed and going to a window. He went to her at once and asked what was the matter, but she was unable to speak. She was laid on the bed, breathing heavily, and before help could be summoned she passed away. Her death was evidently due to heart disease.
Mrs. Kornmeyer’s maiden name was Kate Hess. She was born at Festina April 18, 1866, and was married to Charles Kornmeyer May 11, 1892, since which time her home has been in Decorah. Beside her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. Johnson of St. Paul. In their bereavement the family have the sympathy of many friends.
The funeral was held yesterday morning at St. Benedict’s church, Rev. J. Hawe officiating, and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone shows her date of birth as April 19 which does not agree with the above. It also shows her name as Kathryn
