Mr. and Mrs. M. Z Daily returned to Bovey, Minn. Monday. They were called here by the death of Mrs. Daley’s sister, Mrs. Ruffridge.

Will Blake, Will Springer, Mr. Eliza Fox and Miss Kate Brunner returned to Greene Saturday. They accompanied the remains of Mrs. Theabold Ruffridge, which were brought here for burial. Mr. Ruffridge and sons Floyd and Lester returned to Greene Monday.Source: Decorah Republican Aug. 6, 1914, P4 C4
OBITUARY
Mrs. Helena Seim Ruffridge, whose death occurred in Greene, Butler Co., on Wednesday last, July 29th, was born May 10, 1874, in Hancock county, Iowa. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Seim and came with them to this county the same year she was born. Here she grew to womanhood, securing her education in the Decorah schools. She was married on April 9, 1896, to Theabold Ruffridge and moved to Greene, where she has since resided. To them four children were born—Floyd, Lester, Harold and Earl,--all of whom, with the husband, her parents, brothers and sisters, survive. As stated last week, Mrs. Ruffridge’s death was very sudden and followed an illness of but fifteen hours from cholera nostras. The remains were brought to Decorah last Friday and the funeral was held at the United Lutheran church at 5:30 o’clock, Rev. O. E. Schmidt officiating. A large company of relatives and friends ere in attendance, among them being the following from out of town:--Mrs. Theo. Seim, St. Paul, Minn.’ Mr. and Mrs. M. Z. Daily, Bovey, Minn.’ Mr. and Mrs. Blake and daughter Thelma, Will Springer, Mrs. Liza Fox, and Miss Kate Brunner, of Greene; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Ruffridge, Grafton, Iowa; Henry Fisher, Kensett; Messrs. and Mds. Henry Ruffridge, Will Ruffridge, Jacob Young and Chas. Casterton, Locust; Messrs. and Mds. Ed. Darrington and Henry Sellman, Hesper.
Mrs. Ruffridge was a woman of kind heart who was esteemed by a large circle of acquaintances. In their bereavement the relatives have the sympathy of the community.Card of Thanks.
