L. P Gelleran{sic} returned to Minneapolis last evening. He was called here by the death of his mother, Mrs. Wm. Gellerman.

Death claimed Mrs. William Gellerman Monday afternoon after an illness extending over four years the cause being paralysis. During the years of her invalidism she has been tenderly cared for by her children, who, knowing that hope for her recovery could not be entertained, are reconciled to their loss. She leaves to them a memory of one who was devoted as only a true mother can be, while friends and neighbors join in testimony to her kindness and thoughtfulness for all about her.

Mrs. Gellerman’s maiden name was Doris H. Mackenstadt. She was born on May 27, 1835, in Diepholz, Hanover, Germany, and was married to William Gellerman on April 1, 1864, in Bremen. They came at once to America and in August, 1861, located in Decorah where the family homr has remained. Eight children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. The surviving members of the family are Hannah (Mrs. G. Chandler), Maggie H. and Netta Gellerman of Decorah, Louis P. Gellerman of Minneapolis, Henry H. Gellerman of Cloquet, Minn., and Fred F. Gellerman of Cavour, S. D. Mrs. Gellerman is also survived by two brothers—J. H. Mackenstadt of Decorah and Fred Mackenstadt of Leigh, Neb.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at four o’clock, Rev. M. Willett officiating, and interment was made in Phelps cemetery. Among those from out of town who were in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Gellerman, daughter Louise and son Ernest, Henry and Fred Gellerman and Fred Mackenstadt of Leigh, Neb.
