OBITUARY.
Death claimed Mrs. Isaac B. Torrison on Tuesday morning, the 17th inst., at ten o’clock, bringing relief from intense suffering. For the past ten years Mrs. Torrison has been an invalid. In November last an operation was resorted to, but without avail.
Mrs. Torrison’s maiden name was Elizabeth Koren. She was a daughter of Rev. and Mrs. V. Koren and was born March 30, 1867, in Springfield township. Her marriage to Rev. Torrison occurred twenty-four years ago at the Washington Prairie church. The past ten years of their live{s} have been spent in Decorah and it has been a life of devotion to each other and to the cause in which they labored. Those who came close to Mrs. Torrison learned to know the kindness of heart and sympathy that were characteristic of her daily life.
Beside her husband she is survived by an adopted daughter, Etsher{sic} C. Torrison, her mother, three brothers and three sisters. The latter are John Koren of Boston, William Koren of Princeton University, Mrs. Chr. Naesseth of Decorah, Reb. Paul Koren and the Misses Henrietta and Marie Koren who reside with their mother.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:30 at the First Lutheran church, Rev. O. E. Brandt of Luther seminary officiating, and interment will be made in the Norwegian cemetery.Transcriber's Note: Her gravestone in Decorah Lutheran Cemetery shows her name spelled Elisabeth.
