Mike Taylor died last Wednesday morning, May 8, 1918, at the age of 59 years. Funeral services were held at St. Wenceslaus Church, Saturday.

OBITUARY.
Mathias Taylor was born near Spillville, Feb. 2, 1859. He was united in marriage to Catherine Bruha, 38 years ago at Fort Atkinson by Rev. Estkenberger. Four children were born of this union: Mrs. Mary Korbel, Mrs. Anna Humpal, Mrs. Regina Zahasky and John, all of this vicinity, who with their mother survive him. The deceased was ill with rheumatism for several years and passed away, May 9th, at 3:45 in the afternoon, the cause of his death was acute dilatation of the heart. About two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Taylor moved into their new residence here in town to retire from farm life; they formerly lived on a farm south of town. Funeral seavices{sic} were held Saturday, May 11th, at St. Wenceslaus Church, Rev. J P. Broz conducted the funeral services. Burial was made in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
