Mrs. J. Hargreaves of Chicago and Chas. Freer of Minneapolis returned to their homes Monday after being here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Hargreaves.

THE SILENT REAPER.
The remains of Mrs. James E. Hargreaves were brought to Decorah for burial Sunday morning last, and taken to Phelps cemetery direct from the train. Mrs. Hargreaves died on Nov. 14 at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. Hargreaves in Chicago, where she has been living since she left Decorah several years ago. She was born Pune{sic} 6, 1833, in Oswego, N. Y. Prior to coming to Decorah to reside she lived for a number of years in Lanesboro, Minn. She was thrice married, and is survived only by the daughter with whom she spent her declining years. She was a woman of retiring disposition but made a number of warm friendships during her life here.
