Amber Uhlenhake, age 36 of Stewartville, Minn., (formerly of Ossian, IA) passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

A private family Mass was held. The family requests no memorial gifts. Any donations in Amber’s memory will be used as future scholarships.

Amber Terese was born on July 24, 1987, in Decorah, Iowa. She is the daughter of Robert and Teresa (Vsetecka) Uhlenhake. Amber was baptized at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Amber grew up on the family farm near Ossian. She was always on the go with her pets and having adventures around the farm with her family. While in middle school and high school, Amber excelled in academics, track, and cross country. She was the Valedictorian of the South Winn Class of 2005. Amber pursued post-secondary education in the areas of culinary arts and business.

For many years, Amber was employed as a school finance officer and business manager for several school districts in Minnesota. Amber was very detailed in her work and formed many special friendships with her co-workers.

Amber led a full and active life. She loved being outdoors, whether that was running, traveling, gardening, or spending time on her beloved family farm. Amber also loved pickles, coffee, baking, decorating cakes, crafting, candles, games, and puns. She was always documenting her adventures through pictures. Amber could also find anyone a great deal while they were out shopping because that was another activity that she excelled at!

Amber was strong in her Catholic faith and was honored to become a godmother to her nephews Parker, Kashten, and Brantley, and her nieces Kora and Maeve. She cherished her loved ones.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Teresa Uhlenhake of Ossian; her sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Dan Kuennen, and their children Kade, Addisen, Parker, and Kashten of Festina; her brother and sister-in-law Rob and LeAnn Uhlenhake and their children Kaylee, Brantley, and Kora of Ossian; and her brother and sister-in-law Bryce and Elizabeth Uhlenhake, and their children Maeve and Asher of Ossian. Amber is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her many friends.

Amber was greeted in Heaven by her maternal grandparents Ray and Delores Vsetecka, and her paternal grandparents Cletus and Millie Uhlenhake.
