Wm. Nelson, one of the old pioneers of Allamakee county and former resident of Decorah, passed away at the Iowa State Hospital, Tuesday, death being due to an aggravated case of diabetes. He went to the hospital from Decorah about two weeks ago and no word came from him to relatives until the telegram came announcing his death at 8:00 o'clock yesterday morning.
He was 67 years of age and had never married. He is survived by three brothers, O.L. and Severt Nelson of Locust, R. F. D. 1 and Jacob, of Holt, Minn., and one adopted sister, Mrs. Clara Berg, of Pleasant Twp. The funeral services will be held Thursday from the Big Canoe church. Rev. Tolo will officiate and interment will be in the Big Canoe cemetery.

Wm. L. Nelson, a former resident of Decorah, passed away at the hospital at Iowa City, at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning, Dec. 4, 1928, after an illness of about four weeks. The remains were brought to Decorah and the funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Big Canoe Lutheran church.
The deceased was born in Allamakee county in the '60's. He never married and is survived by only three brothers, Jacob of Crookston, Minn., Severt, who resides on the home farm in Allamakee county, and Ole L., also of Allamakee County.
