THE SILENT REAPER.
Reier K. Hamre, father of Mrs. H. C. Hjerleid and G. R. Hamre of Decorah, died yesterday at 3 o’clock, aged eighty-seven years. Mr. Hamre was born in Valders, Norway but has been a resident of Decorah for many years. Beside his son and daughter above mentioned he is survived by his daughter, Mrs. J. O. Johnson of St. Paul and son Thomas Hamre of Cresco. The funeral will be held to-morrow afternoon at the United Lutheran church, Rev. O. E. Schmidt officiating.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 1828 and died Aug. 13, 1913. He is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
