Death of Mrs. W. A. Tomann.
Christina Schild was born in Ripley county, Indiana, Nov. 26, 1862. From there she moved to Iowa, where on April 4, 1894, she was married to W. A. Tomann. Their home was made on west Water street, Decorah, and two children were born,--a daughter, Mae Beatrice Tomann, and a son, Orville Raymond Tomann. The family lived in Decorah until three years ago, when they moved to Ellsworth, Wis. On Sunday evening, June 8th, at six o’clock, Mrs. Tomann suffered a stroke of paralysis and was unconscious until she died at 3:30 a. m., Tuesday, June 10th. Beside her husband and children she is survived by one sister and two brothers:-- Mrs. Mike Brunner of Ellsworth, C. and A. F. Schild, Cresco, Iowa, The deceased was also a cousin of Mrs. C. F. Bertossa, formerly of Decorah. Many friends here join in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.

Chris. Schild was called to Ellsworth, Wis, last Wednesday, by a telegram announcing the sudden death of his sister, Mrs. W. A. Tomann. He left at once to be present at the funeral. The Tomanns used to live in Decorah for a number of years, and then moved onto their farm near Ellsworth, where they built a fine house and expected to live in ease for many years, but death stepped in and shattered their hopes. The family is greatly stricken and have no idea yet as to their future plans. The sympathy of their relatives and many friends are theirs in this bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellsworth, WI
