The remains of John Skoda were brought to this place Tuesday last from Glendive, Mont. The relatives here were unaware of his sudden death until they made their arrival here. They knew he had been ill for the past few years, but they had hoped for his recovery. He was called to his reward on Sunday, Feb. 13, {sic} 1913. John Skoda was born in this city and at the time of his death was twenty-nine years old. In December, 1912, he was married. Those who are left to mourn his demise are his wife, his aged father, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Simota of Michigan, N. D., Mrs. Anton Sobolik and Emma of this place, Joseph of St. Paul and Frank, also of this place. The entire community sympathize with the bereaved ones in this sorrow.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in Oak Hill Cemetery shows he died April 13, 1913. It also shows he was born in 1853.
