Mrs. Simon Michael passed away last Sunday morning. Obituary will be given next week.

Mrs. Simon Michael formerly Mary Payer, died Sunday, May 26th, 1912, at {t}he home. The cause of death was gall stones, with which she had been troubled for several years. She was born October, 1847, in Volsevice, Austria. In 1852 the deceased came to America with her parents and settled in Illinois for two years, then coming to Winneshiek county. In 1868 she was united in marriage to Simon Michael, who survives her, being a true and loving husband. The funeral took place Tuesday, May 28, Rev. Marshalek conducting the ceremonies. The rosary and the men societies escorted their deceased sister.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Marie Michal. She was born Oct. 15, 1847 and died May 26, 1912. She is buried in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
