On Friday evening Dan Bacon, living two or three miles north of Hesper and west of Mabel, while doing his chores at the barn, told his son that he had so bad a headache that he would go to the house. Arriving at the door he dropped unconscious. He was helped into the house, a doctor was hurriedly summoned and rushed to the place, but before he arrived the patient died. The funeral was held at Mabel Tuesday at 2:35 p. m.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Aug. 22, 1860 and Died May 17, 1912. He is buried in the Mabel Cemetery in Mabel, MN.
